Town of Hempstead and Oceanside Community Warriors Unite for Long Beach Road Clean-Up

Oceanside residents woke up to a brighter, cleaner community this morning thanks to a powerful collaboration between the Town of Hempstead’s Quality of Life Taskforce and the Oceanside Community Warriors.

Volunteers and town crews joined forces to tackle Long Beach Road, focusing efforts on the area surrounding the iconic Lighthouse. The results were immediate and impactful—transforming a well-traveled stretch of road into a cleaner, more welcoming space for residents and visitors alike.

“This is what community pride and teamwork look like,” said a representative from the Oceanside Community Warriors. “We’re grateful to Councilwoman Laura Ryder for coordinating this joint effort and helping make it happen.”
